Receive an AOP, AirAsia India Ready to Fly

AirAsia India is now ready to fly. Because the airline which is an affiliate of AirAsia from Malaysia has been granted permission to fly as an airline operator or Air Operator Permit (AOP) of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India. By getting this AOP, AirAsia India is likely to conduct the inaugural commercial flight within one to three months.
"History has been made ​​in the aviation industry. Everything passed with difficulty by AirAsia, but we never gave up Taida. India today AirAsia has been approved, "said Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Group Tony Fernandes on his Twitter account on Wednesday (07/05/2014).
"We will be realistic in starting operations anywhere between one to three months, giving the fact that the new government will be in place soon," said Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia India Mittu Chandilya, adding that the company has not decided which route network will be served, but the possibility serve as much as 60 percent larger second-tier cities, while the remaining 40 percent will serve major cities.
Chandilya said AirAsia India's first flight will likely be done from Chennai, but it could have been changed. "India seems AirAsia will fly to the entire metropolis except Mumbai," said Chandilya further.
AirAsia India is airline joint venture between the three companies, namely AirAsia Berhad, Tata Sons, and Telestra Tradeplace. AirAsia India finally get a permit after one year officially announced the launch of the airline.
